The Director of Public Safety, David Noyes, is the town Health Officer. Deputy Director, Patrick Payer and Captain Jim Chapin are the Deputy Health Officers.
The Health Officer is responsible for being the eyes and ears of the State of New Hampshire Health and Human Services Department for Waterville Valley. This includes commercial food preparatory facilities and public pool monitoring.
